Cryer Malt supplies the craft brewing sector in New Zealand with a wide selection of premium malt and hops.

Our local malt, Malteurop New Zealand, is made from barley bred specially for New Zealand conditions. It is grown in the lower North Island across the Hawke’s Bay, Wairarapa, Manawatu and Rangitikei regions, as well as the South Island’s famous Canterbury barley region.

We have a wide range of premium malts to suit any beer style. This includes a carefully selected range of the finest malts from New Zealand, Australia, Germany, Belgium and the United Kingdom.

We’re also excited to note that we now distribute hops from Yakima Chief Hops™ to New Zealand breweries.

North Island

With warehouse locations in Auckland, Wellington & Christchurch. We supply brewers all over in the North Island, from large craft breweries to microbreweries and homebrew suppliers.

Our local NZ malt, Malteurop, is made from barley specifically developed for New Zealand growing conditions in the lower North Island across the Hawke’s Bay, Wairarapa, Manawatu and Rangitikei regions. As well as our malts from New Zealand, Germany, Belgium or the UK, we can also distribute hops from Yakima Chief Hops™ to brewers around the North Island.

South Island

Cryer Malt supplies the craft brewing sector in the South Island with a wide selection of premium quality local and European malts as well as hops from Yakima Chief Hops™.

From our warehouses in Christchurch, we can ship to anywhere in the South Island and Stuart Island. Malteurop New Zealand’s breeding labs in Irwell, Canterbury, also develop new barley varieties specifically for the needs of NZ’s South Island brewers.
